WAKULIMA KARATU KUNUFAIKA NA MAPINDUZI YA KIDIJITALI KUPITIA MIXX BY YAS
Arusha - Wakulima wa Wilaya ya Karatu wanatarajiwa kunufaika kwa kiasi kikubwa na upatikanaji bora wa taarifa za masoko pamoja na kuongezeka kwa uwazi katika biashara ya mazao, kufuatia kuanzishwa kwa mpango wa kidijitali unaoongozwa na Mixx by Yas kwa kushirikiana na wadau wa sekta ya kilimo.
Mpango huo ulizinduliwa rasmi kupitia hafla ya makabidhiano ya runinga janja (Smart TV) iliyotolewa kwa Chama Kikuu cha Ushirika Arusha (ACU) kwa kushirikiana na Mamlaka ya Udhibiti wa Nafaka na Mazao Mchanganyiko (COPRA). Hatua hii inalenga kuboresha upatikanaji wa taarifa muhimu za masoko kwa wakulima na kuongeza ushiriki wao katika mifumo rasmi ya biashara.
Akizungumza katika hafla hiyo, Meneja wa Kibiashara Kanda ya Kaskazini wa Mixx by Yas, Eric Sosteness, alisema kuwa suluhisho za kidijitali zinatoa fursa mpya kwa wakulima kufikia masoko kwa urahisi zaidi.
“Kupitia Mixx by Yas, tumejikita kuwawezesha wakulima kwa kuwapatia suluhisho zinazowaleta karibu zaidi na masoko. Upatikanaji wa taarifa za mnada kwa wakati utawasaidia wakulima kufanya maamuzi sahihi na kuongeza kipato chao,” alisema.
Runinga hiyo janja inatarajiwa kuwa chombo muhimu katika kurusha moja kwa moja minada ya mazao ya kilimo. Kupitia teknolojia hiyo, wakulima wa Karatu na maeneo jirani wataweza kufuatilia mwenendo wa bei na shughuli za biashara bila kulazimika kuwepo katika eneo la mnada. Hatua hii inatarajiwa kuongeza uwazi, kupunguza upotoshaji wa taarifa, na kuimarisha ushindani wa haki katika soko.
Kwa upande wake, Meneja wa Mahusiano ya Biashara na Serikali wa Mixx by Yas, Suleiman Asilia, alisisitiza umuhimu wa ushirikiano kati ya sekta binafsi na taasisi za umma katika kuleta mageuzi ya kiuchumi kwa wakulima.
Naye Kaimu Mkuu wa COPRA Kanda ya Kaskazini, Famia Amiri, alibainisha kuwa urushaji wa moja kwa moja wa minada utaongeza uwazi na kujenga imani katika mfumo wa biashara ya mazao, hususan katika kipindi hiki ambacho nchi inaelekea msimu wa ufuta.“Ushirikiano huu unaonesha jinsi teknolojia na ubia vinavyoweza kufungua fursa mpya kwa wakulima. Lengo letu ni kuhakikisha wakulima wanaunganishwa zaidi, wanapata taarifa sahihi na wanajumuishwa kifedha,” alieleza.
Mbali na mpango huo, Mixx by Yas inaendelea kutoa huduma mbalimbali zinazolenga kumwezesha mkulima, ikiwemo Mixx Kilimo inayorahisisha miamala, Afya Mkulima inayolenga ustawi wa wakulima, pamoja na Kilimo Pesa inayowezesha upatikanaji wa huduma za kifedha kwa urahisi zaidi.
Kwa ujumla, mpango huu unaakisi mwelekeo wa sekta ya kilimo nchini kuelekea matumizi makubwa ya teknolojia katika kuboresha mifumo ya biashara. In celebration of International Women’s Day, Akiba Commercial Bank Plc hosted a special engagement event in Dar es Salaam on 6 March 2026, bringing together female entrepreneurs served by the bank from various branches across the city.
The event formed part of the bank’s Lady Entrepreneur Campaign, an initiative aimed at strengthening relationships with women customers while promoting financial empowerment and business growth.
Supporting Women in Business
Speaking during the engagement, the Bank’s Chief Commercial Officer, Wezi Mwazani, highlighted the important role women play in economic development and community transformation.
She emphasized that women entrepreneurs remain a key focus for the bank as it continues to expand financial inclusion and support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Mwazani noted that the bank is committed to providing tailored financial solutions designed to meet the needs of women at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
